This module helps students understand the proportion of human body parts both male and female. Students experience the process of creating human body postures with garments draped on them along with a thorough knowledge of rendering in various mediums.
The module explains how costume develops differently within different cultural environments in the west with reference to time periods and culture. The module also create the realization that costume and fashion history lies in the excavated past of archaeology and art.
This module helps student learn the procedures of making patterns for production of garments be it for commercial purpose or high end fashion. The module also guides students with constructing sample garments using industrial machines.
This module involves creating designs for printed, woven, knitted or surface ornamented fabrics. The module offers ample opportunity to students to create, experiment and innovate with materials. The subject integrates creative forces of design with textile technology, and also keeps in mind the historical, social and cultural contexts in which the designers work today.
This module will expose students to the different forms of Indian creative thread works. Different materials like silk, cotton threads with a wide range of colours metals are used to create interesting motifs.
Students would be exposed towards digital designing using legal software’s used in the world of designing.
