This module is one of the most interesting for the students pursuing degree in fashion design. Students learn to capture and style for both commercial and high fashion shoot for print and digital medium. As we are in the digital era, fashion photography is the new tool for all designers to educate and practice individually.
This subject is an eye opener to marketing practice that uses floor plans, color, lighting, displays, technology, and other elements to attract customer attention. Students are given practical knowledge to understand and evaluate a space design and display of a retail store to generate more sales.
Finally students need to develop a collection based on a thorough research/theme with proper narratives, mood boards and develop hand illustration using different mediums. The file also contains proper specification sheets and drafting of patterns along with accessory and styling boards.
Along with the traditional Portfolio students also need to make a digital portfolio including imageries, photo shoots, prints and motifs, specification sheets with a detail narrative using photo editing softwares.
